Submission Guidelines
Please include a cover page containing ONLY your name and the title of your submission. This must be separate from the first page of written content. Your name should not appear anywhere on your work EXCEPT for on the cover page, irrespective of genre. Do not include running headings or last name/page number headings in your submissions. Follow the additional guidelines set out below for all work submitted:

Submissions should be in twelve point font and double spaced.

Submission files should be in .doc or .docx.

Submissions should not exceed 4000 words.
Please format your submission according to academic genre. A generic list is provided below:

Sciences: APA Style

Social Sciences: Chicago Style/MLA Style

Humanities: MLA Style
-
Journalism: AP Style

Each submission that uses any outside source material must include a citation/reference page. If a citation/reference page (appropriate to the academic style used in your work) is not included, your submission will be immediately rejected. Plagiarism and the stealing of another person’s work is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by our team.
You must obtain copyright clearance or acquire the rights to any graphics or images used in your piece. If said clearance is not obtained, your images will not be included in the final publication.

We do not accept previously published work. However, if your piece is accepted and published by LIUHJ, rights will revert back to you once your work has been archived on our site and you can reprint* elsewhere. Rights to the content of your research will remain in your possession. We do accept simultaneous submissions if you indicate this in your cover letter. Please contact us if you decide to accept publication elsewhere.
*If re-publication of your piece is requested by another journal, please contact us directly at honorsjournalliu@gmail.com Re-publication and reprinting is acceptable under the condition that LIUHJ be credited and linked back to for the original publication.
